“A pleasant hour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

On a cold and breezy day this was an inexpensive way to keep the kids entertained for an hour (could easily have been longer but the car was in a pay and display) Staff were friendly and the exhibits were interesting.

“Great day out. Museum crammed with goodies.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

A must if you are in the area. The staff are lovely and helpful. There are quizzes for the kids to complete as you wander around. It is stuffed with memorabilla and items of nostalgia. It's a small charge for adults.Kids go free. It has a small gift shop which doesn't break the bank. Well worth a visit.

“Amazing museum, but the staff's enthusiasm really make it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Went on a special Pirate themed day - loads of activities laid on for children of all ages. Also a band singing sea shanties, one of which we're still singing months later! Staff were superb, museum was fascinating, & the special events meant that we actually had an opportunity to see the museum at an adult's pace - brilliant, smiles all round.

“Stuffed with treasures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This is an excellent museum that will absorb everyone. I loved the memorabilia about the railway which once ran into Ilfracombe. There is so much stuff there that you need two or three visits to take it all in.
