“I stroked a goat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

This was good value for money and took the morning to wander around - would probably take longer if you have children.. There were some really interesting things to see both locally grown and obviously some from the deepest depths of the dessert!

The goats were so cute although was completely accosted by the emu's who wanted the wallaby food in my hand!

The dinosaurs were cool and took us back to those Jurassic park moments..

Well worth a visit!

“Our First visit and we loved it !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We are a couple in our early 50s and to be honest we weren't sure if not having children with us (as ours are all grown up) would mean it wasn't really for us. We were so pleasantly surprised. We had such a great day and loved all the things it had to offer. The animals, the shows, the train ride (loved that !) even the dinosaurs plus we had a lovely lunch in the cafe which was very reasonable in price and very tasty and well presented. The staff were lovely too and all seemed to be enjoying their work. We have never been there before and were a bit apprehensive about the price (£27 for 2 adults) when we got there but it was well worth the money and there was so much to do and see. We will definitely go again.

“great day out for children”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

we took our children here as a day out £42 for a family ticket 2A 2C
a tad expensive i thought the children enjoyed it very much but i would not recomend for a disabled person in a wheel chair there are some very steep slopes but its all good if your able and fit!! and there is lots to see and the restaurant is fairly priced all in all a good day!!!!!

“Lovely Day Out - Under New Management - Lots of Improvements Being Made”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We visited this place in April 2011 and were so disappointed with it. With two small children in a pushchair it was a nightmare with steep slopes and steps and we missed so much of the park by not feeling able to access it. We were offered VIP admission for this August when we would be returning to the area. The site then was under new ownership and they promised lots of improvements.

I emailed just before our visit and was surprised to hear that there had been another change of management. They kindly offered to honour our free return visit and we are so glad we went again. The new management took over in February 2012 and wow some great things have happened since. Yes the park will always be on a steep slope (some things they just can't possibly change) but it is now well signposted around the park with easy access routes for those with mobility issues or littles ones in pushchairs. So much better than last year.

There is a lovely new craft, soft play and animal area that the kids loved. We went to the sea lion show and thought it was amazing. All the animals seem well cared for and the new owners are eager to improve their habitat which is welcoming to know. There are lots of shows to keep you entertained all day.

I've given some feedback to the new management based on my thoughts in April 2011 and my visit in August 2012. They replied promptly and seemed really interested in my ideas and feedback. I can see this place growing from strength to strength with many more improvements on the cards coming soon.

It is important for people to visit this wonderful place and help it raise lots of money to just keep getting better and better. I feel passionate about this place and really want it to do well. As a family we can't wait to visit again.
