Our family wandered in one afternoon, and sat down outside. The menu is basic, perhaps a little dated, but the prices were encouraging, and we continued. The owners were very helpful, and the food we chose was very good value. I personally had a 5oz mini steak, and with the chips and salad, this represented very good value at £6 (Jun 2011) and was easily enough to keep me going for the afternoon. Lucky really, because as we chatted, we drank our way through the owner's 2 hour afternoon break (it's supposed to close between 4 and 6) Despite feeling a bit guilty at still being there, when new business was being turned away, the owners insisted that we enjoy our stay, and offered fresh drinks.
