Booked for the evening set menu - 3 courses for £12. It's 'bring your own booze', with a very reasonable corkage of £1/person.
The restaurant is a quirky little vegetarian cafe. It was busy, so there was a vibrant atmosphere, but it wasn't too small as to feel cramped. This is not a posh restaurant, the atmosphere was extremely relaxed.
The food is relatively simple, but good quality vegetarian. The portion sizes are generous, and the food comes piping hot.
The combination of good food, great price and money saved on drinks makes this a very good value evening out. If you enjoy vegetarian food, and don't need the poshest restaurant in Ilfracombe, I'd thoroughly recommend booking a table at Grassroots.
