“Good Food on the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

We wanted to eat close to our B+B. Reviewed some of the restaurants in the area and chose Espresso because of the fresh seafood. We were pleased with the food and service. We would go back there on our next visit.

“Just can't compete.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

Freshest seafood, Lovely atmosphere outside, casual but special feeling. The staff were very helpful but didn't hassle us. The sticky crab went down such a treat, as did the clams, lobster, rillettes and prawns.
Desert , 2 glasses of sancerre and 2 beers were just over £90.00 Still dreaming of that yummy crab a week later. We shall return!!!

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Arrived about 1.40 today and given table but told it was reserved at 4.00 but said no problem.
Had to ask for wine list which we were given and then ordered bottle of Muscadet
Waiter went off to get it then came back and said kitchen had stopped serving food
Very strange as they advertise 12 to 3 and actually had a table reserved for 4pm
we had spent 20 minutes sat there waiting to be served having been shown to a table
Think there is some communication problem
Eat out a lot and never had an experience like this

“Got the last table”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We had clocked this little stylish restaurant earlier in the day. By the time we decided to give it a try we just managed to reserve the last table. Must be doing something right if the place is full on a Thursday night. As it was latish we just had a main course each and bottle of wine. Looking at the portion sizes I'm glad we did. Really beautifully cooked fish with no unnecessary dressing up.
Loved very mouthful and would have eaten there again if we hadn't had a wedding to go to the next day. Very friendly staff and a lovely setting to watch the sunsets. Quite small, so book early. We were lucky to get in, you might not be!
