We visited on a glorious sunny day during late August. Service was quick and efficient and we started with a half-bottle of the house Champagne, J.M. Gremillet Brut (£22) which was crisp, fresh and delicious. Starters comprised six of the Falmouth bay scallops (£12) and the chef’s special of razor clams in garlic and parsley butter (£8). The scallops were beautifully presented in their half shells, perfectly and simply cooked, and utterly delicious. The razor clams were equally tasty: again simply cooked and perfectly fresh.
For the main course, we shared a whole lobster with fries (£35). The lobster was wonderfully cooked, split in half with garlic butter and lemon juice. We accompanied this with green beans (£2.95) and the chef’s vegetables of the day, samphire (£3.95) which were crisp and a great accompaniment.
Definitely a stand-out seafood meal, in a great setting, with professional and attentive service.
