“Wedding accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Really well cared for at The Hamptons, used for our daughters wedding accommodation for her wedding at Tunnels Beaches. Food excellent,Comfort Excellent. Very flexible with the extra persons we had with us (hair make up photographer videographer_) Well decorated, clean and comfortable stay. Modern boutique hotel. Will visit again & recommend highly

Room Tip: All individual in design & subtle themes, we had three rooms one of which a beautiful honeymoon...

My wife and I have just this second go in from getting married at tunnels beaches in ilfracombe. We had an amazing time and it was all thanks to the fantastic staff at tunnels and our super relaxing stay in the chantilly room at the hamptons hotel!
Free standing bath, four poster bed, super soft sheets and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Do I really need to say anymore! Yeah I do, my wife is a vegetarian and she was very well looked after. There is also a massive selection of unusual teas. To me it felt like we were staying in a room at home, there is such a welcoming feel at this hotel. We will hopefully be booking a return trip soon. Can't wait.

Thank you hamptons!

We stayed at the Hamptons for 2 nights while in town for a friends wedding at the Tunnels Beaches. The location was perfect for the event (5minute walk along the road) and the rest of the wedding party were all scattered along the same road. The Rooms were decorated very well, very much to our liking. It was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with lovely chat over breakfast where Paul and his team were genuinely interested in our time in illfracombe with recommendations on places to visit while we were in town. The food was lovely and we felt comfortable coming and going throughout the day and during the evening while preparing for the wedding. Agree that the hill is steep but for us coming from Bath, we are used to these....... We had a lovely time and would happily stay again.

Room Tip: Kashmir was lovely and spacy, Rococo was also nice where our friends stayed next door.

On a quiet road out of Ilfracombe centre (10 mins walk) with some great architecture. Very steep drive with three car parking at the top. I guess because I parked on the property I did not get my car door kicked in.
Very friendly welcome. A steep climb to the beautifully presented rooms. Not suitable for the hard of stair climbing. Our room had a large comfortable double bed, and a single made up for our daughter in the sitting room bit of the 'junior suite'. The en-suite bathrooms had a powerful walk in shower.
The whole property has had a lot of money spent on it and it shows. Very nicely presented with an honestly bar and a five start hotel Full English.
The also was a pantry with a fridge, coffee maker and micro wave which we could use to heat up a take away.
Our only observation is that if top prices are charged then everything needs to be bang on all the time. (2 out of 4 lightbulbs not working in bathroom. Cobwebs. Dust on electric sockets) Anything mentioned was sorted straight away.
No curfew, no hassle - lovely.

Very expensive for the one night stay but room clean and well presented. Organic food for the breakfasts. Too far out of Ilfracombe for my liking. Parked at the bottom of the extremely steep driveway and unfortunately our car door was kicked in. Not a nice end to our break and for that reason, I will not be returning.

We stayed here for three days as our eldest daughter was to be married at Tunnels Beaches. The rooms (we had four ) were all very clean and beautifully decorated, each room had its own individual style. Luxury toiletries and organic foods at breakfast enhanced our stay. The 'pantry' with fridge, microwave etc was extremely useful.
We used the comfortable lounge as if it was our own and deliveries of flowers, photographer etc did not seem to bother Paul or his staff. The bride was happy to leave for her wedding from this elegant and stylish villa.
A HUGE thank you to all at the Hampton's for helping to make this very important family day a success. We will certainly return .

We stayed at The Hampton's between 17th and 21st August and had a great time. From the warm welcome when we arrived, the excellent room (and bathroom) and fantastic breakfasts it was an excellent stay. I would warn people that Ilfracombe is not flat and The Hampton's is uphill all the way from town! I think we enjoyed our stay so much that we inadvertantly brought the room key home with us and had to post it back! We'd certainly recommend The Hampton's to anyone visiting Ilfracombe.

We witnessed the damage to the car mentioned in another review which did seem odd as the area appears very quiet and is certainly not what you would call a 'rough' area, in fact it's anything but.

Room Tip: The Chantilly room has the best views!
