“If Carlsberg did hotel hospitality......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Stayed at this hotel for a stag weekend and what a weekend it was.
The rooms were perfectly adequate. We weren't looking for the Ritz! However the hospitality at this hotel was quite exceptional. The staff could not have done more for us. They provided fantastic entertainment in the bar in the evening. They even pushed back breakfast the next morning so we could have a lie in.
I would just like to thank them all for making it such a great weekend.

Just want to express my thanks to the owners of the Victoria Hotel for their kind help and hospitality. On a recent business trip, i found myself looking for accommodation very late into the evening. The Hotel was closing for the night and it was no trouble for the owners to let me have a room, prepare a light supper and a substantial breakfast.Just want to say thanks once again for their hospitality.

We stayed at this hotel with our friends for a few nights on our fishing trip and it was fantastic!!!!!
of course, if you like ikea style its not your cup of tea, but victorian hotel holds its atmosphire with real fireplace in victorian bar, great beer, great people, life gitar music and an amazing friendly staff! Thank you so much! We will recomend this hotel as a true value for a money!

Room Tip: Rooms 1&5 were we stayed are huge and comfortable even for 4 people.

Well what can I say; we didn't even get to see what it was like! Check-in was meant to be at 12, we had a wedding to go to at 2 yet no one was there it wasn't even open!! We waited till half 12 then had to find alternative accommodation! There is no answer machine to leave a message! I can honestly say by the look on the website it looks well maintained but in real life it is shabby. Windows boarded up, paint peeling off walls and mould on outside. Having asked locals I was told they open when they want!! Not very professional is it? Having spoke 4 hours later I was assured they were now open but I was already disappointed and could think of nothing worse than to stay! Yet they were quick enough to take money out my account on the saturday morning which I have requested for it back. Service is awful and the attitude is also bad! Would think twice about staying or thinking of staying here!!!

No hospitality when we arrived, in a hurry to take payment from us. Rooms were ok, towels a bit shabby. The breakfast was a damned disgrace, cold eggs decorated with a few lettuce leafs, cheap sausage, coffie like treacle when i had asked for a weak one. But the waitress did not understand english, and when she realised we were not happy she completely vanished. Fine as a pub for a drink but aviod B&B
