“Not a bad place to eat for a reasonably priced lunch on 5th”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

I tried searching online for a really good lunch spot on 5th Ave and didn't find much, so we just happened upon Altin's and sat down. I had a feeling it was going to be average, and it was. My salad was uninspired but certainly edible. My husband's crab cake sandwich was more satisfying. We were just glad it was all reasonably priced. With all of the touristy places to eat on 5th, seems like you could end up with an average AND expensive meal. Altin's is very reasonable.

“We return for the best BLTs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

When in Naples, be sure to have lunch outdoors at Altin's and order the Famous BLT sandwich. Our local friends will be returning for the BLT, too. The delicious bread is toasted just right, soft enough not to rip open the roof of your mouth. The tomatoes and bacon are perfect. Our waitress is friendly, helpful, and efficient. All Altin's employees seem happy. We like to eat outdoors, shaded by an umbrella. It's fun to watch passersby to guess whether they are locals or tourists. It's a pleasant mid-day meal at Altins!

“El Fresco Dining or inside - good food, great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

We would certainly recommend Altin's for lunch or dinner. They als serve a great breakfast, but we did not make it there for that. We were intially attracted by their dinner $29.95 special - 2 entrees and a bottle of wine. The Beef filet was delicious, served with either pasta [alfredo, pesto, marinara], asparagus or mashed potatoes. The salmon was also great. The key lime pie was also excellent. Kathryn, the hostess, is a most pleasant and enjoyable young woman who is most accommodating. Our server Pam was delightful and we would certainly go back next time in Naples. We went back three times while in Naples!

“DON'T GO HERE FOR DINNER”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

ALTIN'S CAFE AND GRILL has a great location on Naples' famed FIFTH AVENUE SOUTH. Unfortunately, at least as far as dinners are concerned, the good news stops there. Lousy food, so-so service.

Breakfasts might be another story, but you can do much better for dinner than ALTIN'S.

“Very Nice Al Fresco Dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2011

I visited this very nice restaurant with my wife and four kids at an hour when some of us wanted breakfast while others were ready for lunch. The restaurant was prepared to meet all of our needs. Great food, great service, and all for a very reasonable price. Al fresco dining was wonderful as well. My only complaint was that the person who appeared to be the restaurant owner was sitting at a table about 15 - 20 feet away from our table and he smoked two cigarettes in the time we were there. His cigarette smoke, which kept blowing in our direction, disturbed me. It it weren't for that, everything would have been absolutely perfect. I was tempted to tell him but decided to let it go.
