friendly staff, clean rooms good food, great with the kids
very relaxing, just a great break

Having thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Douglas on the Isle of Man my stay at the Chesterhouse Hotel couldn't have been better! I was warmly welcomed by the staff who were also extremely friendly and approachable. The standard of the room was very good and the food both in Amber and the Shiraz was superb. Excellent value for money and may I add that the location of the hotel is excellent as everything you will possibly need is within walking distance. I'm currently planning my next visit back to the hotel this year.

Stayed 2 years ago and the hotel was ok - but it seems to now have had a face lift.
The Staff were very helpful and all seemed to have a smile on their faces.
They were great with our kids and the location (especially for the price) is excellent.
Breakfast was consistantly good and we did eat in the amber restsurant and apart from the steps down it was very family friendly and the kids loved it.
Would recommend to anyone

I must agree with all the other comments. Our room was at the rear of the hotel and had wallpaper peeling off the walls. It had a shocking view out onto a flat roof covered with rubbish and both the bathroom and bedroom itself were extremely cramped. At TT time they also charge extra for the privilege of staying. I had hoped that they may have cleaned up their act by now!
