The food at this restaurant was brilliant. It was lovely as was the atmosphere and the staff. Have been back after the visit and would happily go again.

“Very Friendly and the Food was lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

5 of us ate here and all of us loved the food. Very good standard and very reasonably priced. Starters, main and wine plus cocktail - £30 a head

The staff so friendly and could not have been more helpfull.

Will be back again soon.

“Awesome.”

Went as part of a group of 25 and it was a fabulous evening. Food immense. Huge portions. Delicious. Well worth it. Try out the burger challenge if you dare.

“More ambiance needed!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We went to eat at this fairly new restaurant on a very unpleasant wintry evening, so were hoping for a lovely dining experience to make the effort of bothering to go out worthwhile! On arrival, the (only) waitress gave us a lovely warm welcome and asked us to take a seat in the foyer. This area could have been arranged in a less crowded fashion by taking out one of the tables as everyone was virtually sitting on top of each other. They could also do with a coat stand or hooks as we had to sit with coats on our laps/back of chairs. We were shown to our table, right up against the pre-dining seating foyer where other diners waited/chatted, in fact so close we felt we were in their party! The food arrived and it was nicely presented and tasty. Portion sizes could have been a bit larger - garlic mushrooms consisted of 4 small mushrooms cut in half! The main course was nice, home-style cuisine but strangely served with a corn on the cob as one of the vegetables which was made worse as it was cold. So on the whole, the food was pleasant/OK. The thing that let the whole experience down was the ambiance, or rather, lack of it. The tables were bare but not of particularly nice quality and would have looked far better if they put some tablecloths/proper place settings with wine glasses on them. Also it would have had a nicer appearance with some booths/dividers as it had the slight appearance of a motorway service area. These aesthetic changes could easily make all the difference and raise the level of enjoyment/quality. There is a wide choice of other establishments with better ambiance in the area so it would be a pity for the owners to leave it as it is.
