If you are in Douglas this place is not to be missed. Excellent seafood with a wonderful modern twist and pretty much all locally sourced. Pricey, but well worth it.

“Inspired menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

Our first visit to this Restaurant, during a weekend break in the IOM and not disappointed, overall a very good menu with several interesting twists on how to serve seafood.
OK the price of some of the starters at £8.95 could rival Padstow but all of the food was well cooked and well presented.
We felt a little cramped on a table for two in a corner but all in all a good night out inspired by Tripadvisor.

“Delicious Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

My wife and I are taking a short break on the Isle of Man and Tangroagan restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel owner, where we are staying. We were also advised to make a reservation. We did so on the day and were lucky to get a table for the same evening. The restaurant is small and was very busy, but we were greeted and shown immediately to our table. We both chose a fish special of the day which was delicious. The food, service and ambiance of this predominantly fish Restuarant is very good. The food portions were generous and the price is expensive, but the quality and service are what you pay for. Thoroughly recommended.

“Good and accommodating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Not only do they have a great fresh fish menu but are also open to changing dishes to meet special needs. My colleague is shellfish allergic and the chef immediately produce one of the menu dishes excluding the shellfish. My start was just queenies and not as given on the menu. All dishes were great, fresh and well cooked

“Still good, but bit disappointed this time...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Went as part of a group of 8 for a celebration. My husband and I love this restaurant having been several times and not had a bad meal yet. On this occasion, we invited family along who had never been and having raved about it we found ourselves apologising to them!

We had to ask for drinks; we had been in there about 15 minutes and none had been offered to us. No butter came with our bread rolls. I am pregnant and had the cod dish; I couldn't finish it as it wasn't completely cooked through for my liking - I do have to be careful but picked my way around the less cooked part. Yes, I could have returned it but didn't fancy waiting for it whilst the rest of the party were tucking into theirs. Some of the party had wine, but others were on individual drinks - we were sat with empty glasses and again had to request a drink.

The bill arrived however we had paid a deposit and this hadn't been deducted.

The waiting staff were pleasant. It was busy (as usual) but there were times when the waiting staff were chatting to each other when they could have been removing dirty plates and offering us drinks.

The food was great, everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. Love love love the Crap, Ginger and Coriander soup.

Usually a five star rating for us but just a star knocked off for the reasons above.
