“Fresh and tasy, great chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Fantastic range of fish to try that you won't get in your average local chippy. The rock salmon and Pollock were both excellent. We were feeding two fussy teenage girls and they were both happy. The chips were good - big and chunky, not too greasy and not too many of them - just right. It would have been handy to be able to buy ketchup as the girls like it, but the only offering was lemon mayo or something like that. I must have turned up at the right time as I only had to wait 5 minutes to order, then I had a wander around for 10 minutes while they cooked the order. Recommended for trying fish as it should be.

“It doesn't come fresher, wonderful fish, but be prepared to wait.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Freshly caught and you can only eat what they've caught. No cod or haddock. Plaice, skate, rock salmon ( dogfish), whiting, pollack. Each order is cooked as you reach the serving window. With the chunky handcut chips, we had a delicious fish supper "eaten out of the paper" sat on the front. Served with salt and vinegar sachets, plastic forks and a napkin with lemon wipe too.
I've never tasted fresher fish. Only drawback is the wait. If you join the queue as the veranda starts you'll be 45 minutes or thereabouts. Don't plan to stand with kids in the queue. More expensive than your usual chippy but the quality is well worth it.

“Very fresh, tasty fish and chips!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Great fish and chips and the crab and chips was fantastic. Not on the board but ask for crab and chips - it's £8.50 but worth it. Staff very helpful in advising me on what fish to buy (not your average haddock or cod choice here). Yummy hand cut chips. Portion sizes adequate but not large...not as big as you might expect from a fish and chips supper.

“Crabby”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

OK, we love fresh crab an this place offered exactly what we wanted. The fish was fresh and obviously this mornings catch. I chose a tub of fresh crab but when I asked for napkins or forks to eat it with I got a rebuff and was told to go round the corner where they sold fried food. My husband was queuing there and was also given the impression that his custom was not appreciated and that there would be a wait. On looking at the state of the battered fish being sold to others we thought better of it. So on short, lovely fresh product, but the customer service leaving something to be desired.

“Fish and Chips like you've never tasted before!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Freshly cooked seafood straight off the boats!

It was seriously the freshest most delicious fish and chips. We had breaded Mackerel, battered Pollock, prawns and crab samosas!
It absolutely made our afternoon on the beach and we highly recommend it!

The staff were lovely too!
