“Simply the Best!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

This was our ninth stay at Grange Bank and we look forward to next year's visit.
Peter and Carol are very welcoming. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are great. The Guest House is ideally situated with a short walk to either the town centre or the beach and the bus stop is just around the corner.
Grange Bank is ideal for walkers, wet boots are catered for in the garage!!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this well run B&B in Shanklin. We were there for the festival weekend and our room was a clean respite rom the mud!! Peter and Carol were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was also great. The B&B is perfect for exploring Shanklin and the rest of the island, will definately be back!

Peter and Carol have already received a lot of accolades from the other reviewers.

Peter takes the extra effort to see that your trip is smooth. On this instance, we wanted to go tree climbing and there was no leaflet in the conservatory, however, Peter, very kindly, did some research and printed out some information and even tried calling them for us.

The breakfast was very good and filling. Very close to pubs playing live music, and close walk to the beach as well. We enjoyed our holiday more this time because the place didn't deter anything for us.

After many ideas of what to do and where to go at Easter with my wife. We decided to take a trip down to the Isle of Wight. Online searches seemed to go on and on and places seemed to be repeating themselves until we came across Grange Bank House on islandbreaks website.

A phone call later, i was on the phone to Carol. She not only managed to book us 3 nights at a great price but also book our return ferry with red funnel. Very satisfied with the ease of communication, something many other places around the world seem to lack.

After an exciting drive up + down hills, we eventually park up and we are greeted by Peter and then shortly by his wife Carol. We have a very relaxed introduction and informative details about breakfast the next morning (which i was already excited about)

The room we stayed in was very clean, quiet and even had cable tv!
Breakfasts every morning were exceptional and delicious. My wife and I, always chose full english as we couldn't get enough! :)

Also there are many shops/attractions around shanklin within walking distance and the driving distances are not far due to the great location of Grange Bank.

If you're reading this and still unsure where to stay and what to do on the island. I wouldn't hesitate any longer and would give them a call. Wonderful hosts and a sure return visits in the futrue. All the best Peter and Carol.

My friend and I were doing an art course at the nearby Grange Hotel which although lovely is twice the price of Grange BANK house. Carol and Peter are warm, kind and lovely hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. This 18 bed guest house is spotless, sunny and light, with comfortable sun rooms if you'd prefer to stay in but not in your room. The breakfast menu offers variety (even fish) and this generous meal is beautifully cooked and presented and will set you up for the day. Within minutes of the shops, the numerous restaurants, Shanklin Chine and the beach, it's ideally located and at the old village end of a pleasant, quiet street. Ample parking, flexible arrival times.Tip: I had the best crab sandwiches and coffee and walnut cake ever from the little wooden hut of Pencil cottage, which is situated right on the headland overlooking the beach, just past the chine. The Villlage pub restaurant is good too.

Room Tip: Grange bank house is on a quiet street and has a tropical garden surrounding it. Therefore it doesn...

We have just booked another 2 weeks at Grange Bank House for 2012, we stayed there last year with Peter & Carol they are such great hosts nothing is too much trouble, the house is very clean the rooms are big there is a big selection of beverages in the rooms and the Breakfast is to die for, there is a big selection of ceareals, juices, fruits and cooked breakfast.
Grange Bank House is in a brilliant location for the shops, pubs, eating places etc, not far from the beach. There is ample parking, we left our car there most days and explored the Island on the bus & train. Cant wait to return.
