“A cut above amateur dramatics”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

This was a very pleasant way to spend an evening, not at all what you might expect from a small local Company. The play that we saw was "Black Coffee" by Agatha Christie, a Hercule Poirot murder mystery. The scenery had a solid look to it and didnt wobble when the door closed, you know the sort of thing I mean! All the actors were word perfect and on cue and Hercule was magnificent, a well presented show that we thoroughly enjoyed. The bar was well stocked and we were able to order our drinks for the interval. Taken overall, the experience was more professional than amateur.

“A Great show at a Great Little Theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We saw the play Black Coffee by Agatha Christie which was very enjoyable. Although the Hercule Poirot part is synonymous with Davis Suchet, the actor playing Poirot was exceptionally good, especially his moustache!! The seats were comfortable but could do with a little more leg room. The theatre was clean and seemed to be well run. If you can please visit, as all small theatres such as The Palace need all the support they can get!

“Wheelchair access proved awkward”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

We were assured that the theatre was easy access and this is true but the position of the wheelchair unfortunately blocks the view for others. I felt quite awkward about it. There are adequate easy access toilets. The play was excellent and this would have been 5 stars for the play alone. However the evening was spoilt because I was aware that I was 'in the way'.

Very good evening, shame the theatre was only half full. Comfortable seats and friendly staff on duty
