“Paignton pier what a letdown”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This pier offers nothing but amusements. Noise, noise, flashing lights nowhere to sit and enjoy the view or have a decent coffee. Expected so much more bitterly disappointed and think this is a so called attraction that is not worth bothering with.

“Like most Piers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

It's fairly small in comparison to some Piers. It houses an arcade with outdoor kiddies racetrack, slide and a few other activities for the kids. The entrance to the Pier has a cafe, fresh fish kiosk, doughnut and Icecream kiosks, nothing out of the norm.....and by no means exciting, but it suffices the holidaymakers thirst for entertainment....

“Proper seaside pier”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Free to go on, although we don't play fruit machines etc, we walked through thse, and were happily surprised that the only noise was of the machines and the people - no awful loud pop music that so often spoils places.

“Awful place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

You have to walk through the casino/games to get to the end of the pier. It is very noisy and smells badly of mold. Disgusting place.

“not just for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

The nice views when it is sunny, and the non-gambling machines ( eg bowling) inside when its wet, make this an ideal attraction for non-gamblers like myself. With machines that take pennies as well as the usual 10p ones, it is possible for a family to spend the time it takes the rain to go away under cover in the warm and still have enough left for the ice-creams afterwards!
