“Very good for budget prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

We booked 2 family rooms. One was a good size and the other was very cramped with an extra bed put in a double room. My brother booked a single room and it was much bigger than any of the family rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Loved the location it is just beautiful and close to the town. Beautiful scenery and a lovely park right next door. Great location for a holiday and kids got breakfast free. You can't do much better than that.

Room Tip: If ordering a family room, ensure that it is not a double with 3 beds pushed in any old way

Good hotel - location is great for the beach. Sea view is great.
Typical Premier inn's excellent standards apply.
Restaurant was good. Try their cakes.
Rooms are large and bathrooms - clean. TV in room. Beds are ok
Issues :
The 'dark purple trademark carpet' hides all the dust and it DID - Our room was not clean at all.
No LIFT - So if like us you are on the second floor - good luck.
NO TELEPHONE in the room - In an emergency, well ... good luck to you and your family.

Room Tip: No Lift - so...........

Great location. Stayed in room 30. Had a marvelous view overlooking the front. Windows didn't let any sound in. Room was large, with abundance of space.

Didn't eat in the adjoining restaurant so unable to review food.

Would highly recommend.

The Inn’s location cannot be bettered and is probably one of the most attractive Premier Inns I have stayed in. It’s right on the seafront and directly opposite a lovely water park. As ever the staff are excellent and the inn has a good Brewers Fayre restaurant attached to it.
I was here for 3 nights on business during probably the coldest week of the year and my room was cosy and warm although the warm air heating was rather noisy and during the night rather stifling as the thermostat refused to stay below 20c no matter how much I fiddled with it! Also there was no heating in the bathroom.
The biggest problem was the position of my room (room 8) being next to the laundry. All night long was a constant humming, whirring and intermittent chugging of washing machines and tumble driers, hardly condusive to the “Good night’s sleep” promised by Premier Inns. All Premier Inn rooms are basically the same, and it was very clean as usual but due to noise and the heating issue not the most comfortable

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 8 &9!

If you are looking for a family break by the sea look no further !!. This hotel is right on the beach, with great sea views from the bedrooms. Usual good standard from premier innn`s very good service at breakfast.I`ts also close to Paighton and Torquay Be careful if using sat nav mine took me to a road that is closed off so make sure it is up to date !!

Stayed for one night, sea view, easy parking (free in winter). Hotel is right on the beach. Apart from the adjacent eatery all other places are a few minutes drive, or a walk into town. Hotel very clean, large rooms and good bathroom

It was a pleasure to stay here in a location that meant we didn't use our car for the whole weekend. A great view of the seafront from our 1st floor room (most rooms seem to have sea views), welcoming staff and good facilities (restaurant and bar). The room was a really good size with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and service friendly. We had a very undemanding relaxing walking weekend and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: First floor rooms probably have the best sea views.
