We got married here last August, and chose it for the venue itself.
The hotel is magnificent, with a beautiful interior and it is just total elegance.

Lucky really, as the service was way below par. Every interaction with the staff was dissappointing, from the poor wedding co-ordinator, to the night barman who tried to refuse guests drinks late on as they were not stayng at the hotel (including the best man). The reason why they were not staying at the hotel is because the hotel had double booked many rooms and made a total mess of things.....anyway...

I wont wrte about the service on the day of the wedding, not really the appropiate forum and anyway, it didnt spoil things.

The rooms were huge (well suppose it was the honeymoon suite) and very very nice. We woke up on the morning and watched the deer feed - so very nice views.
The breakfast was great, and service on the morning was good.

Overall, the service is a big big let down (at the time, I was related to one of the owners, so you would have though they would have pulled out a few stops - but no) - but the hotel itself was amazing.

Having recently stayed at the Whitworth Hall Hotel attending a Christmas Party I can only say what a wonderful time we had. The staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble and the hotel itself was very christmassy and welcoming. I understand that the hotel has recently been taken over and that the new owners are going to be refurbishing the hotel so I cant wait to go back and spend a little longer at the Hotel.

Arrived on Sunday evening for a Monday business meeting. Was warmly welcomed by the receptionist. All staff were extremely polite and very helpful. I dined in the Four Seasons restaurant and had, quite simply, the best steak in ages! Breakfast was superb, and plenty of it too!

The room was very comfortable with beautiful views over the deer park, such a pity the weather was foggy on the following day.
While some aspects of the decor could do with a little attention, this does not detract from the overall ambience. The Whitworth Hall is now on my list for 'must visit again'

After staying at this hotel on numerous occasions we find it sad to write this review but unfortunately the standards of this hotel has gradually declined. The rooms are dirty and the menu has never changed the same dishes are repeated over and over again. On the last visit we had to squeeze past wedding guests to get to our rooms once we had checked in and felt we were intruding on their special day. We couldnt get a seat in the lounge at all alnight and had to retire to our rooms after our meal . We ordered room service but were brought the wrong drinks. The breakfast portion was very disappointing (kiddies meal). Won't be back. Very disappointed
