Stayed as a guest at a wedding. The hotel is situated in lovely grounds.
You get a nice view driving up the sweeping drive and see the deers and ducks.
check in was smooth and we had a pleasant, smiling reception. The room itself was Number 3 and had fab views, really comfortable king bed. Nice white towels with tea and coffee facilities.
It also had a sofa in the room, which comes in useful if you want to sit a while and just stare at the view, nice.
The decor is fitting with the rest of the property and has been done properly.
The food served at the wedding was really good and hot, which is difficult if you have a lot to serve at once. Presentation was nice too.
Service was very good and staff were all friendly and pleased to help.
We ate breakfast, which was very good, my husband ate a full fried breakfast, it looked lovely but I passed, due to hangover!
We were told off other guests that the restaurant 'Shaftos', which you pass to get into the estate, is very good indeed.
I wish we had more time to explore the grounds, I was told there was some lovely walks.
Very pleased overall and intend to go back again.
