Reasonable room,quiet location,comfortable bed.
Frendly helpful check in with local information provided.
It seems that our room was only partially serviced, desk staff were quick to respond.
A lift may have assisted to first floor room.

Room Tip: If you have heavy bags or have mobility issues ground floor roors would be best

Another PI well up to their brand standards. The team at check in and check out were helpful and friendly and the room was of the latest type with a decent sized flat screen telly on the wall.

There's a decent sized car park and it was a short covered walk to the restaurant - which was handy as it was snowing.

As per previous reviews - dinner wasn't the quickest but breakfast was fine.

The place was easy to find and I'd certainly stay there again if I was in the area.

Booked in here when attending a family party near Woolacombe. My elderly mother and I wanted two separate rooms and got two at a good price (£58 each for two nights)
Reading some of the other reviews, I notice there is a lift - this was not pointed out to us although the lady on reception did offer to help mum with her case when she saw her struggling.
The rooms are what I would expect from a Premier Inn. My only other comment is that while I did not get any noise from adjoining bedrooms,I was troubled by a snorer in the room below! Not sure what can be doen about soundproofing a floor.
Overall tho, a good deal, a good location, close to a major road, Tesco's opposite if you want a cheaper breakfast and a nice pub/restaurant for the evenings. I would go here again.

Booked this break 2 months before our stay so a great deal at 2 nights for just £58. Family room (54) Close to lift on second floor but not noisy. Room was clean and comfortable, big screen TV, volume restricted (great idea - how many times have you stayed somewhere and the goon in the next room is clearly deaf!) Heating was efficient and again restricted to top temperature of 23 degrees.Unusually no heated tail rail in bathroom.
Good location from the main drag of the A361 but unless you're a seasoned hiker it's NOT a walk into town! Plenty of car parking in town or get the park and ride. As mentioned many times in other reviews, Tesco is just across the road (as well as Argos, Homebase, Wickes) but use the underpass which is just past the hotel on the same side of the road as the grass verges are uneven and on our visit like swamps!
Pub/restaurant is adjoining the hotel and our visit there were no long delays in spite of being busy, good value, give the 'deal' a go, £22.99 for 3 course dinner and drink (from a selected menu) and the very good big breakfast next morning.
Moans? no, good value for money, comfortable room, good location and decent food BUT whilst my wife and I are not disabled it drove me mad how many times inconsiderate people parked in the designated bays trouble is supermarkets and hotels are not willing to point this out to offenders in case it offends them (like kids who travel in supermarket trolleys)

Room Tip: Even quieter at rear and has own car park!

We spent 2 nights in Barnstaple and felt very relaxed and comfortable. It was especially clean and quiet and parking was great. It was very family friend and staff were really hospitable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely use barnstaple again. :)

Room Tip: I think all the family rooms are on the ground floor and generally all the same size.
