We were looking for a decent Indian restaurant in Barnstaple and settled on this one after getting a recommendation from a taxi driver and paying attention to which Indian restaurant the Tourist Information Officer mentioned first (they're not allowed to recommend places). This was the Officer who has eaten out in Barnstaple, the other one told us he only eats what his wife cooks. Anyway, we were not disappointed - the restaurant staff made us a window table reservation at short notice, and the service once we were there was really really good. The food was also very nice, with a wide range of dishes and all with lots of flavour. If you like fluffy peshwari naans then don't get them here, as they're rather flat, but they tasted fine and that's the only thing I could criticise. Seemed to be a popular place, and I can see why.
