We got a £9 special deal from the Travelodge web.
We have a small Romahome motorhome it would cost more to park in a field.
Found staff at this time pleasent and helpful.They got us extra tea,coffee sheets,and pillows with no trouble.
The room was clean, comfortable with loads of hotwater, yes the baths are a little small but they do have proper overhead showers.
Location is just 100yds of main road at the entrance to quite industriel estate.
If you look alround there is a cycleway /footpath along the river which will take you straight into Barrow and the shipyard museum.
Ideal location for the southern lakes and spent a nice day with the motorhome on Walney Island

Had a one-night stay here. Upon arrival I was greeted by a rude receptionist where everything seemed too difficult. Got to the room which for the money was adequate, and that's all really. There is no bar at the hotel. There is a pub about a 5-10 min walk away. There's an ASDA over the road so get breakfast there. Had another rude and disrespectful employee on the evening and a simple query seemed too much to ask resolving. Needless to say, I will not stay here again nor will I recommend anyone should stay here. Avoid this hotel.

Stayed here on 27/09/2008...fine if you find sleeping on a bed harder than the M6 with pillows as thin as paper..we had to put the towels inside the pillow case to make them even remotely comfortable..we had to make up our own bed as the duvet left rolled up on bed,,our sons rollaway was so hard we all had to sleep in the double bed..not much fun..also the bath is very spacious if you are under 4ft tall...couldnt pay me to stay there again,,do yourselves a favour pay a bit extra and stay at premierinn. ..stayed here for 1 night ,,it felt like 10...dont even think about complaining at reception,we waited 15 mins this morning..and saw no one...avoid!!!..better still sleep in car.

Inside the hotel is as expected. Clean, functional rooms. Its quiet, there is no external noise despite being beside the main road into Barrow. Good selection of Freeview channels for a change.
The location is a bit rubbish. The nearest place for breakfast is Asda over the road, you have to drive to get a beer or an evening meal.
But otherwise ok.

It's really difficult to compose a review about a Travelodge because once you close the hotel door and curtains they are all basically the same and you could be anywhere, however this wasn't the cleanist travelodge I've stayed in and the location is a bit grim,that apart as with all hotels in this group it's comfortable and quiet which gaurantees a good night's sleep.
