“Excellent Food, friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

We ate here on a friday night and found it to have a really pleasant atmosphere and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
To start i had the goats cheese, which was served on a toasted garlic muffin with a really tasty dressed salad, the portion of goats cheese was huge and it was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious.
My partner had the tiger prawns in a ginger, chili and lime sauce and said they were the best prawns he's ever had! We then went on to have the Pork Belly and the Fillet of Beef and they were both absolutely delicious, each in their own rich and tasty sauces. A really outstanding meal all round, we were just disappointed that we were too full for dessert!! Would definitely go back!

“wHAT A FIND”

A fabulous bistro offering excellent value for money, we found the food and service excellent and were not surprised to learn tah the chef/owner prepares all the sauces and dishes himself, we can't wait to go back

“good food poor service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

me and my partner decided to try this restaurant after reading excellent reviews on tripadvisor. we booked a table easily and once arrived we were warmly welcomed. first thing we noticed was linen table cloths which were nice BUT paper napkins instead of linen napkins.. food is pricey enough so they can afford some linen napkins..we ordered a bottle of still water which was already opened before coming to the table and the glasses came in waitress' one hand half full.. we have never been served drinks like this in the uk with an already opened bottle god knows if that wasnt filled from the tap! after tasting it we asked her if they had any cold bottles and she replied "no we havent got room to put bottled water in the fridge" hmmmm.. then we ordered our food which was quite nice and we both enjoyed it..probably wouldn't go back and would rather try another restaurant in the area next time we visit the lakes..
