“What a relief to go into this warm Inn after being caught in snow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I have never been so glad to get out of the nasty weather and find a log fire in the restaurant

Staff were friendly and efficient and my husband found an ale he liked.

We only had a snack lunch as were having a full meal at night..

I took my family to the lakes for a short break left it a bit late to book but I eventually got booked in this would not have been my first choice as I have a small child but I must say what a great find the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful the room which was a family room and could take two adults and two children was clean and a good size breakfast was fab set you up for the day great location just 2 min from lake and restaurants only down side there is no parking on site so you must use public carpark but you can save by parking for more than one day and get discount on ferry's best to go Monday>Friday if you have kids as there is a nightclub below Friday and Saturday I would stay there again!!

this mini break was a gift & when i read the recent reviews i was a bit daunted but no need, the room was perfect for our needs, clean, nice bedding & the breakfast was delicous. The staff are lovely & helpful & gave us some good advice for walks & where to eat at night. Include a Sunday night if you stay, kareoki night is amazing !!! x

Room Tip: at weekends i should imagine rooms at the front are a bit noisy so unless you're a late nighter...

Was a bit apprehensive when I read a lot of reviews about it but the hotel was brilliant!!! Lovely bar downstairs to experience the traditional ales.
Enjoyed my stay, loved the breakfast, the rooms were neat and clean. Overall a good experience.

Basic room
Very dated
Not clean
Bed uncomfortable
No reception
No parking
Good location
£90 b&b
Good singer in bar area
10% off drinks
Nightclub downstairs very noisy for the rest of the guests that want a good nights sleep ( or even just to read or talk )
Breakfast very good
Staff ok
I would only stay here again if desperate
But really did not like my stay
Have stayed in better youth hostels for a third of the price

Stayed here for the 1st time The location is ideal, got discount on drinks whilst we watched the act in the bar, Then free entry into the disco bar. The staff were ace, from the very minute we arrived we felt like we'd known them years! We met Elvis, Mr T and curious George. Its a very old building with lots of characteristics and the staff are part of it. breakfast was just what we needed, very tasty and filling! What great value for money, a very comfortable stay. We will be back very soon.
