Booked here for my sister and brother in law as a wedding present. They really enjoyed there stay. Staff was friendly and food was good. They especially enjoyed the nightclub. Location is superb. Would recommend a stay here!! The only downside to the hotel is the no parking! Xx

We went here as a family of four and were allocated a room right on the top floor. We had already braced ourselves for something not ideal but were pleasantly surprised.

We booked in at the bar in the main pub, very quick, very efficient. The room consisted of a double bed and a bunk bed, all clean bedding, soap, shower gel and towels provided for all four of us. A set of drawers and a wardrobe completed the furniture.

Tea and coffee facilities were provided also and a wall mounted TV was available.

The compact bathroom consisted of toilet, sink and a shower - all clean. Only one of us showered but the comment back was that it was good.

We were aware there was live entertainment on in the bar and that the nightclub would be open however we heard nothing from either.

The room was very warm (it had been a warm day/evening) and we opened windows - whilst we didn't hear any noise from downstairs, the air-con unit from the hotel next door was quite noisy.

For £90, the room was probably worth it - I'm not sure its ideal as a romantic weekend away hotel but if you're looking for a quick stay-over than it is more than adequate.

As we had to be up very early we didn't partake in breakfast.

Room Tip: We parked in a car-park a little way behind the pub and paid £1.70 for overnight parking (12 hours...

Stayed in the hotel for 1 night 30th June for a friend's birthday. The hotel bar area was pleasant and busy .We were given our room keys at the bar and told to follow the signs to find our rooms which was a little unprofessional. The rooms were a little dated and not really very clean with dust on all the tops and curtains which were hanging down.
On the plus side the atmosphere in the bar was very good with a singer on and television to watch sports etc.Breakfast in the morning was very good and staff friendly. All in all not to bad however could do with a good clean up.

Stayed as a large group and room was adequate for weekend stay. Beds was 2 single beds pushed together kept falling inbetween as one was higher than the other. Breakfast was ok nothing really special.
The hotel bar gets very busy in the evening with evening entertainment and has a large night club in the
basement. The staff I found friendly and the service was good. In an ideal location and had a pleasant stay.
Large hotel with plenty of
rooms and is perfect for large groups. In major need of an update but ideal base.

The only plus point about this place is the location, everything else we were very disappointed with!
The rooms were not up to standard after paying £90! The bedroom was ok however there was no mattress protector, the bathroom was dirty, hairs in the shower, cracked tiles, mould in the shower, stains on the walls...oh and the window in the bedroom did not close properly so could hear noise from kitchen downstairs.
We had breakfast and were greeted by a very rude member of staff. We were seated in the pub downstairs for breakfast in between fruit machines and the stale smell of alcohol, the décor was shabby and very tired. The breakfast was very disappointing...cold and undercooked food.
We would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend this to anyone! Beware!

Booked 'The Bowness Suite' for a romantic getaway, looking at the photos it sold itself well, but upon arriving we were informed that the basement houses a nightclub (open until 3am) and that in the bar below there is a Sunday Karaoke. Wouldn't be so bad, but our room (the most expensive in the hotel) was directly above all of this, and upon entering the room it was cold, with lamps not working, bulbs missing and an odd smell drifting around the place - didn't feel welcoming at all. One positive to say though, the staff were incredibly courteous about our feedback and apologised for the problems. We found alternative accommodation and received a full refund, we just don't want others to feel the same disappointment as we did. It could've very easily ruined our stay.

Visited here after looking on Google for things to do on a Sunday night. This was the only thing that came up. We don't sing but decided to bobbed in. The place was ok, could do with a refurb, but the singers were outstanding very, very surprised at the quality. We loved it entertainment value 10/10.
