“Stepping back in time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Went to watch turbo with our kids, half expected punch and Judy when the curtains went up! Just like the cinema I used to go to when I was a boy. Would highly recommended for nostalgia alone.

“Good value cinema”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

This was a great cinema for a holiday film. Tickets and snacks were well priced and not a rip off. We sat in the circle (slightly more expensive) and got a good view of the screen.

“Three screens and comfortable seats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

There is always room in the Royalty and if you get there early you can park for free in the cinema car park. Staff are OK, can be a bit abrupt, but when there are only 6 people in the audience it is not surprising!

“A good step back in time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

On a rainy day during our trip we booked premier tickets to see Tom Hanks new movie - Captain Phillips.
The theatre was recommended to us by a work colleague that said it was like stepping back in time, whilst watching a good modern movie. We were very pleased with our decision to get out of the rain...
Movie and venue both met expectations. Worth a visit if you don't like walking in the rain like us! enjoy!

“A taste of how it was”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

A lovely old cinema with modern films, we went to see Prisoner which was great but not as good as the cinema it's self.
The "Ice cream lady" came in with her tray of delights. Comfortable seating and no "flit" for those old enough to remember the dreaded spray can.
There is a "Wurlitzer" but sadly we were in a different part of the cinema.
What can I say wonderful..
