We went past this restaurant when walking down Ash Street the first night we stayed in Bowness on our way to the Spanish Tapas bar Bodega, and thought it looked really quaint and cosy, so we decided to go the next night.
The tables weren't too close to each other, and the food and cocktail menu were great. We shared the spicy potato wedges to start. We were glad we shared a starter as it was huge. Great wedges. For the main, my partner had the lamb hot pot which was a special. It didn't look huge but there was loads of lamb and the bread was lovely and soft. My partner was very full by the end. I had the chicken fahitas which were really good. I didn't manage to finish it at all, it was a huge portion.
Unfortunately we couldn't manage a pudding but the puddings we saw coming out for other customers looked fantastic, especially the sticky toffee pudding and white chocolate chessecake.
We'd definitely recommend eating here. The service was friendly, and the food and wine (we had a bottle of the Merlot) great.
