Echo what others have written. Can get very busy so you need to get there early, we got there for 6 for drinks and the bar was full but sat down to eat upstairs at 7. Ordered 3 dishes each and the table was barely big enough. I'm very fussy with food but found lots to enjoy and even tried some other things which I would definitely order in future. The strawberry mojitos are my new favourite drink which for a 18 stone skin head may be problematic but nevertheless they're ace - although they can take ages to arrive from downstairs if you are eating in the restaurant upstairs. If you're in the Lakes for a few days this is a great, less formal eating experience. We spent £120 on 3 cocktails, 2 bottles of wine, about 16 dishes and 2 desserts. One reason for slightly marking down is that the onus is definitely on you to ask for what you want rather than being catered for and several items of cutlery were dirty.
