“Good food, excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

We were in the attractive restaurant before 7pm and had delicious, attractively served meals for £17.95 (3 courses). The service was attentive and friendly. The food was well flavoured and well cooked.

“Unexpected delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Looked on trip advisor for recommendations ,and they came up with this gem!! You must try if you are in the lakes district ! The food is beautiful and cooked with a passion for taste and flavour !! Staff are very attentive and genuine! But above all you won't believe the value that you get here,3 courses for 19pound,if in before 7.pm. Only slightly higher if you are later. Lovely experience ,thank you !!!

“We'll be back!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

We spotted this restaurant on the first night of our holiday and decided it would make a lovely end to our week...we were not disappointed! We booked the table for 6.30 to take advantage of the lower price of £17.95 for three courses but I wouldn't hesitate to book later. We were greeted like returning, valued customers and so started our experience. You've seen and heard about food like this on the cookery programmes but this is an opportunity to experience it without breaking the bank. I'm not going to comment on individual courses, as, like the Oscars, I'd be worried about missing somebody out of the praise! I have to comment on the fact the plates/slates are without pattern...I'd have removed any pattern getting the last morsel from it's setting!! We will return!!

“Not to be missed..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

We booked with family so some middle aged and some pensioners who can be more choosey!! The food, value for money (we did the excellent value meal deal!), menu choice, service and the whole ambience were excellent. Very tasty, well cooked and well balanced food, presented to a high standard. We will be back on our next visit here. Everyone was very impressed which was good as it was my choice!
