The rooms are good, however we went for a spa weekend, only to find the heating had packed up and the jacuzzi and pool was cold. The breakfast in bed was also cold, by the time the chap had come back twice with items missing, such as milk, butters, jam, mustard etc. The staff were friendly, however there was yesterdays breakfast pots left outside rooms for over 24 hours.

I had my wedding reception at Wood Hall in July and couldn't fault the hotel, facilities or the staff. Rachel was first class and a highly recommended wedding co-ordinator!

I stayed on the Friday before the wedding and the staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been anymore helpful.

On the day of the wedding, everything was set up and organised without us having to worry about anything and the wedding breakfast and evening buffet was very good.

I have seen someone on here who complained about their stay at Wood Hall where they were attending a wedding in July, so I hope they weren't a guest of ours!!!!! I think it's pretty ungrateful to be invited to a wedding and then complain about everything!!

All in all Wood Hall is a fantastic place, with stunning views and the accommodation is first class.

I will definitely be returning.

We have just returned from a weekend stay in this hotel. The food is outstanding and the room service was good. Unfortunately, the service whilst waiting for dinner, at breakfast and for afternoon tea was very poor. The frontline staff are on the whole very helpful, but the whole approach is chaotic. Clearly a management issue.

If you get irritated by slow/poor service, then this hotel is probably not going to meet your expectations.

lovely hotel, but unfriendly arrival greeting. Excellent service in restuarant. pool cold. food great and breakfast great choice. Had to vacate bar and move car through as there was a wedding on!!
