“Nice cream tea by the harbour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Stopped here as just liked the look of it and fancied a cream tea. Good news for us they also catered for diabetics. Nice people, good service and scrummy cream tea, with plenty of jam and cream. Only minor moan, would be if you have tea you get a pot, if you like me you only drink coffee you only get one cup. But I can forgive them as they were so nice.

“Tea on the Quay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

This is a quaint little place as it as already been mentioned, the décor is best described as vintage and the service is efficient. The staff are pleasant and wear little gingham blouses and aprons. There is a small menu, the food is wonderful...I loved the crab sandwiches and lemon cake. Tea arrives in china pots with lovely knitted tea cosies, including a splendid cat.
They sell handmade cards and they are found inside the café along with some new books.
The café is situated in a prime spot on the quayside with tables outside, some are placed with those of another café....look for those tables with floral tablecloths.
Excellent value for money.
The Tudor House Museum is near and you can take trips on pleasure boats from the quayside.

“Lovely tea and view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

We had tea overlooking the harbour and it was a very enjoyable experience.
The cafe is quaint and traditional, all very nicely done with ample indoor and outdoor tables.
Teapots come dressed in hand knitted cosies which is a nice touch.
The food and cakes looked very good but we only stopped for a drink. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Prices were very reasonable, £2.60 for two drinks!

“Acorn Antiques does Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

Amazing homemade bacon & lentil soup, warm fresh bread, excellent coffee and moist nutty carrot cake! Crab sandwiches were first class. Fast and efficient service on the harbour side and a top-notch lunch....will be back!
