Manbo's is a small restaurant in Weymouth run by a family. Food was really good, fantastically friendly waitering staff. Scallops starter with creamy chilli sauce is delicious and should not be missed. My husband had the calamari starter which was tender and brilliantly cooked, not at all tough. For mains I opted for the Chilli prawns. The prawns were very well cooked but I was a bit disappointed with the sweet chilli sauce which was the pour out of the bottle variety. Sautéed potatoes were very good. Our friends had the fillet and sirloin steak respectively with thick cut chips which they said was very good indeed.
For deserts we had a mixture of cheese cake, chocolate fondant and ice creams, all very good. Lovely presentation with raspberry coulis and a drizzle of chocolate and fresh strawberries. The bill for 5 Adults, each having starters, mains and deserts, with a bottle of wine, two beers and fizzy water and one child who had spaghetti starter came to £146, which is really very good. You would not get seafood of this quality in London for that price.
