“Superb hotel, great location, close to beach and other family attractions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2011

Premier Inn - you know its going to be good when you step through the door, because of their corporate image. We were however pleasantly surprised even more so by how friendly and welcoming the staff were at the hotel reception and the restaurant staff next door were equally welcoming. The restaurant served good food (little pricey) but there was always plenty of it. Carvery on Sunday, fish and chip night on Friday - both all you can eat were just 2 of their theme nights. The All you Can Eat breakfast for £8pp, little bit pricey, but sets you up for the day and there was plenty of it. Across the car park was the sealife park, childrens go carts and fun park and miniature ride on train, a cafe, nature reserve. 20 min walk from hotel to the town centre with the shops. So many roadworks made the drive tedious so we walked along the seafront.

We have stopped in many Premier Inns, as you know what you are getting, this one was upto the usual standard, has a Brewers Fare next door, we didnt have breakfast but ended up in the pub after walking back from the town in the evening.
Hotel has good sized free car park and although in the middle of the attractions, the hotel was very quiet. Good location to walk along the sea front into the town to Weymouths many good pubs a eateries. A little more expensive than normal, but maybe this is just because its by the sea.

Arrived friday 4th march, Room 32 at the end of the ground floor corridor. The room was very cold when we arrived, so we turned up the heating, and went off to eat in the restaurant. Nice enjoyable meal, Then went back to our room, ready to settle down for the night. The room was freezing cold, We then realised the heating was not working. I went down to reception now 10 oclock and waited for an engineer. About 30 mins later a young boy knocked and came in to look at the heater, sorry i dont know anything about these so i will get a small portable, which he did. The heating was never fixed and we left on monday. Shame we enjoyed our stay. We will stay here again.

Stayed here before and it is similar to all Premier Inns. Free parking which is a bonus. Receptionist was very efficient. There is no lift (still!) but as we have stayed here before we knew what to expect. Out double room was very spacious, clean, everything worked, there was enough towels (unlike Travelodge!) and I was very impressed. We got our room for 19GBP which was an absolute bargain. It is a fair walk into town which is the only downside.
However, the next morning someone was smoking in a room near ours. I smoke and if I have to go outside so should everyone else!!! Upon checking out, I told the receptionist who told me I was not the first to report it and it was being looked into and the offender would soon be presented with a 90GBP fine. She handled this very quickly and porfessionally and I was very impressed with her and the swiftness she dealt with the situation. Well done Premier Inn!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2011

Stayed at the Premier Inn Weymouth for two nights early Feb 2011. We had tickets for the Beer Festival in Dorchester which is a cheap and easy couple of stops on the train, and thought it excellent value for the £39 per night we paid. There was free parking, which has always been my main gripe with Travelodge at many locations. Our room was on the rear of the main building and if I stood on tip toe I suspect I could've seen the sea if not for the murky weather. Although refurbed in mid 2010, it's well maintained and gives the impression of a relatively new unit. The attatched Brewers Fayre does a good breakfast along with the usual pub grub deals (although we didn't eat our evening meals here). I did report one minor concern on our PI feedback survey. The in room BF menus clearly show the "Costa Coffee" brand highlighted within the main text of the breakfast menu. I love a real coffee in the morning but only the Kenco instant was available. Not a deal breaker but worth correcting nonetheless. A 10-15 bracing stroll along the coast road into Weymouth Centre / Railway Station - Or head in the opposite direction for a morning jog along the prom and great coastal views.

Stayed at the Premier Inn with 3 colleagues. Easy to find and masssive free carpark. Staff in the hotel were friendly and the rooms were typical Premier inn, very clean, all the usual kit but particularly liked the flat screen TV and mega comfy bed! Right next door to the restaurant which served an unlimited full english breakfast and we also ate there on both evenings and the food was really good value.

Generally pretty impressed. This was the first time we've stayed at a Premier Inn and I thought it was good value for money. About £84 got us a family room for the night and a cooked breakfast for 4 people. The place was clean, modern and fresh, and the rooms spacious. Also liked having the Brewers Fayre next door which enable me (as the car driver) to ditch the keys and have a few beers before bed time.
A couple of criticisms. Very noisy kids - at least I hope they were kids - were bouncing off beds in the room directly above us into the early hours. Not the fault of the hotel, of course, but the receptionist looked flustered when I asked her to have a word and wouldn't it make sense to keep families with younger children on the lower floor just to try and mitigate such eventualities.
Also, the help yourself buffet cooked breakfast was nothing of the sort. Cereals were a help-yourself job but orders had to be placed with a waitress for cooked food and the portions a little meagre. Not really a problem but a little misleading I felt.
Finally. £10 for 24-hours wi-fi access??? You have to be kidding!
