“Awesome!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

The views are amazing and being given the history of the Weymouth/Portland bays was very good. It's the first time I have done something like this and would reccomend it very much. The only downside was having to queue while photos are taken as you walk in. Could be sped up a little but the pictures at the end are very good.

“All Round Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Great views from the revolving tower. Very quiet, midweek in November, so no queues, and we had the viewing gallery to ourselves. Excellent, informative commentary.

“This is only worth it if the weather is clear. Amazing views.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Loved the 360 degree feel to it. It was really cold and windy though so be prepared. You should only ever go on clear days for obvious reasons. I don't think it would be a good idea if it was raining either.

“30 minutes of up selling for 5 minutes in the air”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The title sums up the experience the 1.30 flight officially took off at 1.52, staff were friendly enough, but, the process of upselling and queuing and having your green screen photo and waiting for each groups green screen photo is just painful, and was actually for the elderly woman in front of us; it's not even as if the thing was going up and down with other people on.. the whole time it just sat there empty and dormant whilst we suffered the torment. Customers shouldn't be sacrificed to systems.

“Bit boring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Went whilst on holiday as we thought it would be great and for what it was, quite boring and expensive.

We queued for some time before only being allowed in a couple at a time as we had to have daft pictures taken against a green screen - the end result is naff so don't pay for them.

Once in the pod you receive a safety briefing from someone who has clearly told the same scripted jokes tens of times that day and is bored by them himself.

Up and away, you reach the top of the tower (sitting only, don't stand or it'll probably collapse). After two slow spins, we head back to ground.

The commentary is only really any good if you are looking at what the chap is looking at - even the £1.50 map doesn't help. You are basically sat in a glass doughnut and can only see half a dozen people either side and the views.

The views are great but being told about sights that are on the opposite side is just tedious and with people talking in an enclosed space and not really listening to the commentary, it's very noisy.

I'm quite young and this is my kind of holiday attraction as opposed to going out getting drunk, but even that seemed a slightly more enjoyable option than the tower. Doubt I'd go again.
