“GREAT HOTEL!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

We stayed their as a last minute booking and found the hotel very nice. The hotel is situated around 5-10 minutes walk from the beach. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy and had all you need for your stay TV, kettle etc Also the room looked like it has recently been decorated. Breakfast was very nice which was served in the ground floor restaurant. Would definitely stop their again.

Rembrandt in Weymouth I cannot praise high enough as to value for money.
Great amenities great, happy obliging staff. Very clean good sized rooms, lots big fluffy towels and with lots space (ask for a triple room).
Food excellent (carvery) and plenty of it and fab self service breakfast the yogurt and berries deserve a special mention.
BUT and this is a big BUT the dining room is very dreary, low ceiling and no natural light and straight out of the 70s
SPRUCE IT UP BEST WESTERN !!!!! GET MODERN !!!
No prob car park
Go there, 10 minute walk down hill there is a fab beach.

So impressed I am writing this review whilst actually here. This is my first say at this hotel and having read some of the negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but I now know it was totally unessesary. The hotel is lovely and the staff are so friendly and never pass you by without a greeting. I am in a superior room which is lovely. The bed is so comfy its hard to get up. The only reason I do is for the wonderful breakfast which is buffet, fresh and hot. Had an evening carvery which was so lovely. Hotel is spotless and in a great location. Would not hesitate to come back.

This hotel is conveniently located about 5 mins walk from the seafront and 15 mins from town centre and main attractions. There is good on-site parking - a rareity in Weymouth.
We stayed 3 nights in mid-June, in a renovated 1st floor room (227) overlooking Dorchester Road.
This en-suite room is fairly spacious and comfortably furnished with a Queen size bed (not King size as pre advised), but gets traffic noise at night with the windows open (room non-air conditioned).
The breakfast room appears cavernous and gloomy (no natural light) and some of the buffet items looked tired.
The indoor swimming pool (visited but not tested) was humid and smelled strongly of chlorine.
Staff we're courteous , efficient (a sticking bathroom door was promptly fixed) and helpful.
Whilst room refurbishment has improved visitor comfort and amenity, the overall design and layout of this hotel are quite dated, which detract from the positives.

Room Tip: A back room may avoid traffic noise from Dorchester

Plus points:- Walking distance to the prom
Huge car-park
Great pool. The size was impressive
Some of the most helpful and friendly staff we have encountered
Rooms large and quiet

Negative points:- Parking in Weymouth is plentiful but expensive
We only had a week here

Room Tip: I can't see any rooms being noisy - even on the front of the hotel there is little traffic

Although this hotel is a short walk from town it is still a good location to stay in Weymouth and explore the area. I have stayed here a few times now and the service improves each time, friendly courteous and a real desire to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are not super posh but they have plenty of space and all the mod cons, and more than enough tea, coffee etc. I had a very good sleep and not disturbed by any noise in any way. Good car parking and the on site facilities were very good. Although I did not use the restaurant in the evening this time I have had good meals in the past, breakfast is top notch, plenty of choice and once again good service, important if time is important and you are working. Simply a good hotel at a good price, recommended.
