We had an enjoyable meal at the Nothe. There were 16 of us including 7 children all liking different food. Good value and beautiful views over Weymouth.

“Light lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

After arriving in Weymouth-for a short break, we parked on the nothe car park opposite the Nothe Tavern. We ordered panninis sandwiches and baguettes . They were good and service was good. The pub is in need of redecoration as it a little tired.

“Great Family Birthday Celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We had a lovely relaxed Saturday family lunch to celebrate Mum's 81st birthday. There were 14 in the group, which included a wheelchair user and a lively 2 year old - everyone was made to feel very welcome! The staff were helpful, friendly and let us take our time over the meal. The food was varied, plentiful and excellent. It was difficult choosing what to have! The ham hock special was delicious and the desserts are to die for!
We always enjoy our visits and especially enjoy the Sunday Carvery - we'll definitely be back soon!

“Well worth a visit with the family.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

My family and I eat out in Weymouth every visit we make, about five or six visits a year. We hadn't eaten at the Nothe Tavern for a couple of years, even though we own a property nearby. Our most recent visit,(Easter 2013), did not disappoint. We were greeted with a lovely reception from the lady owner who waited on our table well. My wife and I and our young children arrived early to an empty restaurant but this soon filled up, mostly with families with young children...to our delight. The food was wholesome pub grub. I ordered the large mixed grill which had over ten different items on the plate. My wife had a most tender hock joint slow roasted in a honey and mustard glaze...delicious. The kids chomped through cheeseburger/chips/cheesy pasta/home made chicken nuggets and devoured the lot...always a good sign the food is ok! Two rounds of soft drinks for the kids and a most superb bottle of Merlot for mum and dad, plus deserts, and the whole bill was a little over £60. We were well fed and satisfied. Without doubt will visit again. Pleasant atmosphere too.

Thankyou for trying the Nothe Tavern again and it is great to read that it was an enjoyable experience with us. We strive to give value and quality of service and produce and it appears my wife can keep her job as she is obviously excelling in delivering this. I must add that she is gleeful in being mentioned in a review, whereas as yet I have not been. However, Thankyou very much for visiting us and we will look forward to seeing you all again soon. Kind regards, James, Caroline and the Nothe team
