“All you can eat, until you can eat no more!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Went to The Gurkha with my sister and a friend for the all you can eat dinner for £12.00. It was lovely! They had a wide selection of dishes from vegetable spring rolls, chicken satays and onion barjis to curries, soups and salad bar. The garlic chicken is a must! We arrived about 5.15-5.30pm and they were still putting a few dishes out but the place was empty which was good for us as we got to get our food first, with no queuing! Definitely recommend for a nice, filling dinner, hope your hungry!

“Nice meal with beautiful harbour views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We enjoyed our meal and wine but must agree with other reviewers that some of the staff are rather 'solemn'. We went midweek for lunch and it was fairly quiet so they didnt need many staff. The main waiter didnt smile, we're not sure if it was because he was shy or maybe didnt speak very good english. However this did not spoil our visit. There was another guy there, maybe the manager and he was really friendly and jolly. The food was nice and well labelled but there were no puddings included in the £8 buffet price, which was a shame. They did have a special offer though, Christmas pudding with custard for £1.60 which was nice. I asked for extra custard which was brought straight away.

We have been there several times and will continue to go there.

“Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Enjoyed a meal here on New Year's Day. Buffet style. Wide variety of hot dishes to choose from. Salad bar and choice of soups. All the dishes appeared fresh. Kitchen area is open plan and clean. Excellent service. Staff pleasant and efficient. I eat here about 3 times a year.

“Never quite sure about this place!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

I've been here several times for family gatherings etc but I'm never bowled over by it. Others seem to enjoy, but personally I find the choice too large and wonder how it can all be fresh. Sometimes it's not piping hot either. The owners work hard, but I'm afraid it's just not my thing really.

“Excellent - Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

The staff are really polite and very helpful. The food was really nice, I eat at a lot of Oriental Style Buffet restaurants and this was one of the best. Don't understand the bad reviews, kitchen and dining area was nice and clean. Can't fault it one bit.
