“Brilliant stay...again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

The Esplanade is a superb B&B in a prime position on the beach front. We were given a friendly welcome by Rob the owner, whose knowledge of Weymouth and surrounding area is a great help. The rooms are spacious and very clean, try to get a sea view, you won't be disappointed. Rob's renowned breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice to certainly set you up for the day. This has been our fourth visit to The Esplanade and we are looking forward to our fifth already...Thank you Rob and Terri

Floods is excellent for seafood. Try The Stables, a different concept on dining. Portland Bill is not too far away, a good visit if you like walking. Rob will gladly give you all the information you need.

I popped down to Weymouth for an evening to meet up with some old friends. The room was lovely; spacious and clean with a large bathroom and a wonderful view of the sea front. You can see why they have been given an AA award for their breakfasts; high quality, locally sourced produce which is a real cut above the normal fare. But the icing on the cake is the friendly and welcoming service you get from the owners. They clearly enjoy what they do and couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend to all.

Arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Rob. Both he and his wife are the true stars of the business .They run the friendliest of establishments and yet keep a professional finger on the pulse of this super small hotel.
Breakfasts beat many a 5 star Hotel .

Room Tip: Back rooms are quieter .

We wandered along the seafront in Weymouth the other night, looking at all the old regency buildings which are now hotels. Most of them look a bit tired and in need of Alex Polizzi, but there was one with rather pretty bay trees with fairy lights on them, and we chose it because it looked a bit more inviting. We weren't disappointed. The owners are really nice and helpful, the room was clean and recently decorated, the breakfast was great. The water pressure slightly lets it down (it's not exactly a power shower, certainly not in the back room at the top of the building) but I'll be recommending this hotel to friends and relatives.

My partner and I only stayed for one night while visiting friends in Weymouth though I would have happily booked for longer if required. Our room was lovely and clean with a lovely newly fitted and very spacious bathroom. Both Rob and his wife were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. The position of the hotel is perfect right on the seafront and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Even during the booking process the owner was friendly and helpful, this carried on throughout our stay. Great hotel and facilities, very friendly and the breakfast was amazing. Location was perfect and I would definately stay again.......... a real home from home

Room Tip: Opt for a sea view if you can - you can't beat it

Rob was an amazing host! Exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great! A short 5 minute walk to the heart of the city. We did a mini road trip of the UK and out of all of our stays we wished we would have spent more time in Weymouth. Durdle Door (Jurassic Coast Arch) is a short drive, plenty of restaurants and places to explore in Weymouth, and Charmouth is a short drive that provides a good beach to go fossil hunting.
