“Friendly service, nice cake!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014 NEW via mobile

Sat outside on a sunny day and had coffee and cake and watched the world go by. Good coffee. Big slice of cake, homemade and enough for two!!! Friendly service.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Been going to pascals for several years now, and the food gets better and better, lovely breakfasts, and for an afternoon treat, a piece of delicious cake, highly recommended, friendly and efficient staff, one of weymouths hidden gems.

“Take your custom and money elsewhere.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

We visited this tea shop because of some of the better reviews on trip-advisor. The family un-friendly comments duly noted..... We were just a couple seeking an afternoon cream tea. There was one other family of 4 at one of the tables downstairs, otherwise it was empty. We requested the table by the door so that we could look out towards the harbour but that appeared to put the waitress out who subsequently tried to sit us at the smallest table at the back with 2 seats (my husband is 6'5" and the table was tiny). It obviously was much more of an issue than we first thought as Pascal himself felt it necessary to take on the waitress role and come over to take our order but not before asking us if we were expecting more people. We were quite taken aback but gave our order, only when he'd gone did we realise how uncomfortable we'd both been made to feel and subsequently cancelled our order and walked out. Luckily there are plenty of other more welcoming places in Weymouth to get a nice cream tea. It's interesting from reading (the infrequent - granted) negative reviews that there is firstly, no replies/apologies from Pascal and 2ndly, no attempt to improve these situations as they seem to have a common theme. They obviously don't need our custom/money/recommendations and certainly there won't be any of those things forthcoming from us.

“Tea and scone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

Having recently been back to Weymouth for the first time in seven years we were so pleased to see that time for tea was still there. It hasn't changed one bit, the food is still excellent and so is the service. £2.00 for a scone with jam and cream is amazing value. I wouldn't recommend adding a second scone to finish the jam and cream they are big and the cream and jam portions aren't small either. They even offer to add more hot water to your tea pot for free, I haven't seen that at much more expensive restaurants. If your in the area defiantly worth a visit.
