Great beer atmosphere and service but still not up to scratch with the chips. Pity as costs them a drop down from a possible excellent. Mach.

“Fantastic Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Went Friday for a meal, i had Cottage Pie my wife had Lasagne it was to die for the only drawback is the place is so small, we were sat near the log fire and the specials board was directly above us hence everyone was stood reading the board whilst we were eating,if you decide to go you would be best off booking

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

As a vegetarian I get very little choice when dinning out and I usually end up ordering something I don't particularly want, as it is the only option. I got the menu with loads of veggie options. There was even a veggie on the specials board. The food was superb and plenty of it. there was a bit of a wait but i like that you can relax have a chat and not feel like you are being pushed through. The staff are super friendly and i had a great evening. I would highly recommend.

“Delicious food & great beer - who could ask for anything more?!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

If you are a lover of yummy home cooked food and a good pint of ale, then The Woolpack will not disappoint! We have visited as a couple, with family and with friends and have had a lovely time everytime. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service always really friendly and the food delicious. The Sunday roast is a particular favourite and for those with a big appetite I would highly recommend 'The Mega', a selection of ALL the Sunday roasts along with all the trimmings! The rhubarb crumble and the sticky toffee pudding are also to die for (if you have room for a dessert after 'The Mega' that is!). The Woolpack is a little gem and well worth a visit.
