“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Excellent central location. Staff friendly. It is a charming period hotel, don't stay here if you want a sterile chain hotel experience. Yes it needs updating in some areas, but the owners are doing just that, and Rome wasn't built in a day. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice. The church opposite does ring it bells quite regular, but it didn't bother us. Bed very comfy and I got a good nights sleep on both nights. Plentiful free parking. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast. Would I stay here again. Definitely.

My previous review 6 years ago is no longer available, probably because the hotel has changed hands at least once since. That was probably the worst Tripadvisor review I've made.

This time round I got good value for the money I paid. Previously I'd waited 30 minutes for a coffee at breakfast and not got a thing, so went to a cafe down the road. This time the coffee came quickly, there was plenty of choice on the buffet table, and the full English breakfast was cooked to order and arrived in reasonable time.

I was in the old part of the hotel, on the second floor, accessed by quite a steep staircase that may have been tricky for a less able person. I received a free upgrade from single to double, yet it didn't have the feel of an upgraded room. I suspect rooms in the newer block overlooking the car park may be better, and they benefit from having use of the lift. My room was comfortable and I slept well.

Room Tip: Ask for room in the new block at the back of the hotel?

Just returned from a last minute KGB deal with our 3 year old Grandson which was brilliant. We were in a family room which was plenty big enough and clean. Very friendly staff. Food - very good. Good luck with the refurbishments.

We had a lovely weekend at the Beverly Arms Hotel together with our choir and families, eighty plus altogether. They coped with the numbers very well and the Hotel is close to the centre of Beverly, which made it convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Our room had been refurbished and was fine, but I understand that some of the party were not as fortunate
Beverly Market Town is well worth a visit and the Saturday Market was good. I would use the Hotel again when visiting Beverly. The friendly staff are their best asset, and their breakfast good.

Room Tip: Our room 401 was fine

This is a splendid building in an impressive location.
Good luck to the management in their attempts to refurbish this Georgian building.
From our viewpoint, the room was fine and private, staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was plentiful.
In all we would be more than happy to return .
Michael, Nottingham.

Stopped overnight 15/16 Oct, great car parking and excellent receptionist, Megan I think, who promptly sorted my booking. Room a bit basic but perfectly adequate single bed and hot shower etc etc nothing adverse to comment on, room 215 at the front, slept well. Evening meal for our party of seven in the restaurant was excellent, great service from all the staff, Natalie was very helpful and again the following morning at breakfast which was great. The ground floor areas and bar, bar staff brilliant, were comfortable and well designed. Staff make Hotels and the Beverley Arms has plenty of brilliant staff.

Room Tip: Room 215 was used opp church, no chimes as think clock in need of repair.

We had a family trip to beverly in the last week and stayed at the beverly arms hotel. It is a hotel of two ages,,,, The foyer and open bar area are in keeping with the olde world fell and charm of the place.. The bedroom block ( for thats wht it is ) is from a rush job back in the 70's... The sleep quality was good and i was a bit tipsey going to bed but the decor, omg , was terrible.... having said that the owner is making great strides in modernising the bedrooms.... I hear the harrem drill the following morning to go with my headache,,,, still it was alovely place and the staff were a pleasure to deal with.... Buy the breakfast (it is extra at £10 ) but what a breakfast... we did not eat again till 4 in the afternoon...
