“Very enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Arranged to meet a group of friend for a weekend in Beverley recently and so booked The Tudor Rose in the hope it would be quieter than other parts of the town on Friday and Saturday night, it was thankfully. But that’s not all The Tudor Rose has going for it. We had a clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast both days (delicious free range eggs and east riding bacon, missing it already!) and a warm welcome from Caroline and Jamie, thanks to you both.

Ps. Caroline’s advice on the damaged ankle is working well, thanks Caroline!

First time at the Tudor Rose, and overall a very good experience..

What I liked;
- very warm greeting on arrival, no fuss, shown straight to room...
- high speed wifi, important to me as am travelling on business
- prepared to let me check out a bit later (which was greatly appreciated)
- lovely breakfast, full English, very tasty, good coffee...
- a few minutes walk from the train station
- a good power shower...
- Caroline was charming as your host...

What I wasn't so keen on:
- the secondary glazing didn't shut properly (room 9), so wasn't effective at reducing the noise from the road (my room was at the front)... I should add I still slept well, but was occasionally disturbed by traffic noise during the night...
- the bed (which i must say was comfortable) creaked badly when I so much as moved slightly during the night...
- the size of the bathroom...

Would I stay again... Yes, although might ask for another room ;-)

Room Tip: My only issue was really the noise from the road... Which would have been reduced had the secondary...

Had a great stay at this hotel! The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent with locally sourced produce and free range eggs. Even providing a jug of orange juice to ease our hangovers! The rooms were very clean with excellent facilities provided including a very comfy bed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Literally on the corner of a marketplace which can get busy on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Owners are friendly and helpful, and cook a decent evening meal (even when I was the only one in the restaurant) and breakfast. My room was clean, bright and comfortable, although the bathroom may qualify as one of the smallest in England. Note that this place is not a pub, although they have a small bar and there are plenty of traditional pubs in the area. And, as with nearly all such places in the UK, keep your luggage small because there is no lift. Free wifi worked fine.

we had a really good nights sleep thanks to the mattress topper on the bed. the temperature in the bedroom was nice and there was no noise in the room despite the hotle being on a busy corner. Breakfast was very generous with lovely coffee from their italian coffee machine. the location is great. i doubt there was anywhere better situated. the parking is a little unusual with on street passes however we were fine once we understood how it worked. my only negative comment was that the bathroom and the hall way was a little worn but it wasn't a problem.
