“Excellent value for money and Real Ale is a bonus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Don't expect Cordon Bleu, just expect a down to earth tasty, filling meal. I rate this excellent for the type of restaurant/pub that it is - I am not comparing it with higher end eating houses. Staff are friendly and the service was very good. Various items were ordered off the menu for myself and two guests - none disappointed. We took advantage of the afternoon before 5pm menu which included an alcoholic drink. We selected drinks from the real ale range and these were worth visiting this place for alone. Well done Wetherspoons.

“Excellent Wetherspoons food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Probably the only pub in Yorkshire that sells food all day, so this was our reason for going there. As always wetherspoons did not let us down! Excellent food, followed by excellent service by the staff. We were a family of 5 and were full after re-fueling!
Would highly recommend.

“Cheap and cheerful..........well sometimes!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

When it first opened this pub was sparkling and new, but like all pubs in this chain, the upkeep leaves something to be desired.
Staff are friendly & helpful. Food is cheap but nothing to write home about. Microwaves & deep fat fliers prevail.
They must be doing something right because it is busy all day long!

“Good value - not good food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Three stars - one for the decor, which is carefully crafted to look old and interesting, while still retaining a feeling of space and family friendly environment. The second is for the prices - certainly cheap. The third for the fact that the menu includes the number of calories included in each dish. .... Now this should have been the warning - 800 calories in a single dish in the "salads" section???

Unfortunately the quality of the food really let down the whole experience. The "chicken" was surely reconstituted and the sweet chilli noodles were a heavy sludge which challenged the digestion! If you are not too concerned about the quality of the ingredients etc then I guess this is a quick, easy and cheap way of filling up over a decent beer. It is not what I look for from a restaurant and we won't be going back in a hurry.

“You Get What you Pay For”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Wetherspoons are the same the world over. Clean pub, polite staff and limited/uninspiring menu.

Ordered a wetherspoons platter which was cooked well and arrived in around 10 minutes. Server was polite and courteous to which I could not ask anymore from her.
