What a lucky find! Wonderful hosts, lovely room and great breakfast. Our room was tastefully decorated with a lovely en- suite bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We were provided with fresh milk for the tea and coffee in our room. This is a country inn and restaurant , the restaurant food is tasty and reasonably priced. I can recommend this little gem.

We came to Harpham to buy a dog ( we live in Leatherhead Surrey) and the breeder recommended we stay overnight in the St. Quintin Arms. This is a real country pub, and we got a lovely warm welcome from Zoe when we arrived. Our room was smashing - beautifully decorated and with a spotless en suite. Fresh milk was provided (Zoe doesn't do UHT little sealed pots) and plenty of huge fluffy towels. Ian greeted us when we cam down for dinner and made us feel very welcome. The food was superb - best fish and chips I have ever had and the staff are really excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. After a comfortable night's sleep we came down to breakfast to find our table laid up with several types of cereal, fresh fruit, a basket of delicious bread, orange and 'proper' apple juice as well as the offer of the usual full English. I cannot fault the St Quintin Arms, and having worked in the hospitality business myself, it was wonderful to meet a landlord and landlady who are passionate about what they do and really make one feel welcome. I am only sad that having purchased our hound, we won't now need to return to this hidden gem in Yorkshire!

Recently went here to celebrate a special birthday! with a group of good friends. Made to feel very welcome as always and loved the fact that all 14 of us could sit together around the large round table in one of the small rooms. Excellant food with equally good service. Fantastic!

We visited the St Quintin this weekend after spotting it whilst working in the area a few months ago.
I told our friends about it, who visited out of normal food hours but were offered sandwiches even though the normal food opening hours were over.
Our meals were spot on this weekend - good value, unpretentious meals served by friendly staff.
Chatting with the landlord (who is also a local farmer) and the landlady, we were impressed with their friendliness and willingness to share the history of the pub and their knowledge of the type of client that frequents the pub.
Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Did not stay but understand that the rooms are very good.
