I picked this hotel purely because it was very near to my uncles home and 5 of us were down from Bristol just one night for a celebration and didnt want to drive that evening. What a good choice, although we didnt eat there apart from breakfast which was good and a wide choice, so cant really rate the food, but everything else was very good. Fair sized rooms, good comfy beds, spotlessly clean throughout. Apart from the night porter we only saw one girl who was on reception and doubled as waitress at breakfast as there were only one or two other guests staying on that Sunday night. If you were staying in the summer it's only a short walk to the beaches and town centre You must visit the toilets on the ground floor near reception, I'll guarantee you've never seen anything like them, especially the gents. Overall very good.

Room Tip: We had rooms 101, 102, ground floor and room 207 all overlooking the carpark and looking seawards. 2...

The hotel is very comfortable, parking is excellent and the staff very friendly. However for a hotel of that quality I think that half a tomato and half a small mushroom as part of the breakfast is just a little mean. This along with a small pot of baked beans made the 'Cornish Breakfast' pale against the likes of Travel Lodges etc. The menu offered a choice of jams and marmaldes (note the plural) but there was just only one of each available. The make yourself muslie consisted of oats with very few sultanas and almost no choice of nuts, or dried fruit to good with it.

That said we enjoyed our second stay at the hotel and will at some time revisit.

Room Tip: We've only ever stayed in room 101, (we didn't get binned I'm pleased to say) so we'...

Hebasca is easy to find. It has its own car park by the side of the hotel. We received a warm welcome. The staff were helpful and our room was clean and tidy. It is no more than a 5 -10 minute walk to the beach. The restaurant food is good and the cooked breakfast excellent - I would recommend the Eggs Bendict. In general it lived up to the many positives comments posted by other people have used the hotel. If you want to stay in a contemporary styled hotel where the rooms and service are of a high standard you will not be dissappointed.

Room Tip: Choose a ground floor room away from the reception if you want to make sure you are not disturbed by...

We arrived at about 3.30 pm, after a drive of about 230 miles, and were impressed with the service immediately. After signing in, we were taken to our room, and found it modern, and clean, with a super shower, and good quality fittings. My only criticism of the bathroom was that the wash hand basin was very small, and it made shaving a little tricky. Also the radiator in the bathroom when switched on became incredibly hot, and I burnt my arm on it in the night when I went to the loo. We eat in the first night, and the dining area was modern and quirky, which my wife being into interior design really liked. The food was interesting, with lots of meat dishes. Any request for local information was answered thoroughly, and as we were in Bude for the funeral of a friend, we found that helpful. We eat out the second night at another hotel nearby which was owned by the same family, and we found that equally good. Would stay there again if we venture West, and would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of our friends or family.

Dear davidgraves2014,

Thank you for taking the time to write Hebasca a positive review. It is wonderful to hear that you were impressed with our service as soon as you walked in the door. As you have written our rooms are fitted to a high, modern standard and it is great to hear that is appreciated by our guests. Sorry to read that you burnt your arm, we have taken note of this and now warn the guests how hot the towel rails can get. We are pleased to read that you also dined with us and that you found our food interesting, we do aim to be different from other restaurants! It is also great to read that you visited Tommy Jacks and enjoyed your experience there as well. Thank you once again, we hope to welcome you or your family back in the near future.

With kind regards
