Had a fantastic stay at the weekend with my partner. We had a very warm welcome and were delighted when we got to our lodge, the lights an heating were on which was lovely. The lodge was very clean, modern and equipt with everything you require for a relaxing break. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast delivered to us on the saturday morning. The views from our lodge 27 were amazing. I also enjoyed a surprise birthday cake and champagne delivered by the staff which had been organised by my partner. Had a fantastic stay and would strongly recommend. A good friendly team of staff, well done guys.

Just back from a three night stay. Nov 8-11. Absolutey adored the place. We arrived friday aftnoon..booked in within minutes.....unpacked and had a stroll before night fall.......back to the hot-tub...... Saturday was relaxing involving a coffee at reception some lunch, another relaxing stroll before dinner....then into hot-tub....minus 5 on saturday night sitting in tub with my wife and a glass of wine.......can't get much better. sunday was another chill day which ended......guess where.......
Highly recomend this place for a total chilled-stress free break. and we will be back. Staff were exceptional, and accomodation and whole of site spotlessly clean.

Those are the 3 words to sum up our adventure! We arrived into Callander at around 11.30 so very early as we travelled from the very flat Lincolnshire so it took us around 6 hours to get to the highlands! We left early in the morning, to miss any traffic. This was our second visit to strathyre cabins and it surely won't be our last! We love the mountains and lochs the variation of landscapes and the ruggedness of Scotland! It's what brings us back! And we will be booking again for next year! This first time we visited we booked a silver birch which has the added bonus of a hot tub we were given no 12 this was a lovely cabin but felt a bit overlooked. So this time we opted for a golden oak this highest level of cabin we were given no 16 this had a slightly better location! As a tip to new time visitors in my opinion silver & gold are pretty much on par with each other. Just a few minor differences so just look for the best deal you can! The cabins are 5 miles away from the little village of Callander a chocolate box village with some excellent shops with quaint interiors! We love mhor bread and we buy their pies regularly I choose the macaroni pie as in England I had never laid eyes on them! My partner has steak and black pudding! The main reason we come to these cabins is location! Another tip would be to ask reception for a walk route map as these opened up so many scenic walks that we never knew was there last time we visited in July! We saw some jaw dropping scenery! Take a camera or a good camera phone!! After many miles of walking we would retire to our hot tub watching the sky turn clear and the stars become visible, was a lovely holiday overall and as I am a travel agent I will be recommending these to my clients if they want a good walking holiday with rolling countryside, thank you forest holidays for this great break from modern day life, we will be back next year!

Thank you, we are delighted to receive such a sparkling review, and particularly as you are a travel agent! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your holiday; I can imagine the mountainous Scottish landscape is quite a contrast to home and it sounds as if it was worth the long journey. Walks, pies and tubs – what’s not to like? We look forward to seeing you again next year.

This was a brilliant week away. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing week. It was so peaceful and relaxing, especially with the hot tub. lovely sitting in the the cold dark nights staring at the stars with a glass of bubbly to finish of a great day after walking up the hills. Will sure be back and would highly recommend to others for that peaceful time away.

Room Tip: We stayed in cabin 27, was right at the end of the track, was more private than some of the cabins w...

We booked a Golden Oak , cabin 17 for 3 nights from the 18th of October.
Check-in was perfectly straightforward, and done with zero fuss. We deliberately pre-booked cabin 17 as it had a parking spot just outside it, easier for unloading all the supplies, and for it's relative quiet outlook from the deck/hot tub area.
The cabin itself was spotless and the decor looked very fresh. We have stayed in a few log cabins over the years and this was the best by far, but this was also reflected in the price.
The living area was very spacious for the 5 of us, the log burner being very welcome over what turned out to be a very typical wet Scottish October.
The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to prepare and cook over the weekend.
The hot tub however was the best part for us, serviced every day it was in tip top condition and being able to relax, outside under the stars, but be nice and warm was worth every penny.

Room Tip: if you can, have a look at the site layout and pre-book your cabin of choice.

Thank you for your review following your recent break at Strathyre. I am pleased to hear that this is the best cabin you have stayed in, and that you enjoyed the hot tub too. One of the great things about the hot tubs is that they can be enjoyed whatever the weather. I hope you will return for more “relaxed luxury” before too long.

Just got back from a week long stay at the cabins for our honeymoon.
The facilities were spot on. We were in cabin 32 and were right by the loch side. Clean, tidy and refurbished accommodation. Hot tub well maintained, though on a personal level me and my wife would have preferred it slightly hotter, though I feel guilty at having such a small gripe. We will definitely return here, aswell as the surrounding area. The Trossachs are quite simply the most stunning place we have ever been to.
10 out of 10 from us.

We were really looking for somewhere where we could completely relax following our wedding. Some previous reviews had really worried us but I have to say that we have had a fantastic time! The road down to the cabins has recently been done so we have had no problems and the cabin that we stayed in, number 33, has been recently refurbished and the decor way to a really high standard. The cabins were clean and well maintained. The hot tub is an absolute must and we spent most of our time in it in the evening watching the stars, very romantic! I cannot recommend the site enough and although we didnt take up any of the activities there is lots to do and caters for all types of holiday! We will most definitely be returning soon!!

Room Tip: Some cabins lack provacy so be careful when booking which ones offer privacy. The cabins facing the...
