Stayed at Westerton in the gold room for 2 nights. I have nothing bad to say- the owners were friendly and helpful, room was well equipped and the breakfast was great. Would definately stay here again!

I planned the honeymoon accommodation for my wife and I. While I had some hits and misses in Scotland, my masterstroke came with the Westerton and Callander!
I try to think about things critically, but it is almost impossible to say a bad word about our stay at the Westerton. The accommodation was amazing (the patterns on the Quilt even matched the wall paper), our hosts were attentive and very informative, and the 'house specialty" of Smoked Salmon scrambled eggs was unforgettable.
I was so impressed that I insisted my sister visit there when she too makes the trip all the way from Australia.
I don't always like to retrace my steps, but if ever I make it to Scotland again, I will be sure to visit the Westerton!

Hello Lesley and Mike,

We could wax lyrical about the quality of your fantastic B & B in Callander, We could go on and on about the high standard of the rooms and how friendly and welcoming both of you are, but we won't bore you with a long review. We would just say to anyone reading this review don't look any further just go to Westerton and experience it for yourselves and you won't be disappointed.

We make a point of staying at Westerton whenever we are in the area and have never been disappointed. A real find and a fantastic place to stay.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon

Clean, stylish and very welcoming. Super breakfast. Although it is next to the main road through Callander our room faced away from the road and was very quiet. We will be prepared to make a detour to stay here.

During a 2-week holiday in the UK, my husband and I were fortunate enough to book a room at the Westerton for 5 nights. We stayed in the Gold Room and found it to be spacious, extremely comfortable, and immaculate.

Each room has a TV/DVD player, a selection of movies, tea/coffee making facilities, and complimentary WIFI. Guests without laptops may use the computer in the breakfast room.

Lesley & Mike are the most hospitable hosts we have ever had the pleasure to meet. They are more than happy to provide activity and restaurant recommendations. They also take the time to get to know each of their guests and go out of their way to make sure you have all that you need.

We arrived early and even though check-in is not until 2pm, they were able to accommodate us at 10:30am. Upon arrival, they served tea, coffee, and shortcakes with the most delicious, fresh strawberries. It was exactly what we needed after our long red-eye flight from the states.

Guests have several choices for breakfast – full Scottish breakfast, cereal, fresh fruits, yogurt, croissants, bagels, etc. You will not be disappointed!

Callander is a great location for exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. We visited many other towns (Aberfoyle, Balloch, Tarbet, Balmaha) but found Callander to be just right for us. It is large enough to have all the essentials (grocery store open late, range of restaurants, launderette, park, etc.) but not overcrowded.

Overall, our stay at the Westerton was the highlight of our trip. We HIGHLY recommend it and will be back soon!
