“Nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2010

A nice traditional pub serving good home cooked food. They have a real ale shop on the side and sell a wide range of bottled beers and ciders. There own labelled beer was not that great tasting, but it is personal choice and may appeal to others.

“Just about perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2010

Staying in Callander, we decided to try this unassuming little place in a village a mile out of town--and went back for two more evenings. The Lade Inn is family-owned, with a pub room, restaurant, and well-stocked ale shop next door. We enjoy pub food; the chef here is a master, elevating the usual fare into something extraordinary. The owners are friendly and hospitable. A trio of musicians on Saturday night kept us laughing with their high spirits and one-liners. They played requests from the "Lade Inn Songbook" and we all joined in. Great food and drink, great atmosphere, personable owners and staff; the place is just about perfect.
