“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

This B and B in a quiet road offers a good quality bed in room 7, tea and cakes on arrival and a good fresly cooked breakfast. Breakfast is between 8-9 only. The shower rooms in the ensuite rooms are very tight on space and there are no ensuite rooms with a bath. The house and rooms are clean and tidy in all ways.

Thank you, Mac and Ania, for another great stay. We knew that Annfield would be the perfect introduction for our son and daughter-in-law on the first nights of their first visit to Scotland. The house and garden are even more beautiful than before. You have done a such magnificent job of creating an atmosphere of elegance without intimidating formality. Of course, that is because you are both so warm and welcoming. Mac, you are a great cook, and Ania, you are a great hostess, even if we disappointed you by not eating a big enough breakfast! When we think of reasons we love Scotland, we think of Mac, Ania, and their wonderful Annfield.

Our stay at Annfield has to be one of the highlights of our tour of Scotland. The owners, Ania & Mac, have lavished attention on the property and work very hard to make sure your stay is a good one. Nothing is too much trouble. Hot drinks and lovely cakes were on offer in the guest lounge on arrival, and Mac was full of information about where to eat and visit in the area. The house is full of elegant objects and Mac's collection of clocks is a real feature, especially when they strike the hours. We had a twin-bedded room with comfy beds and superb furnishing & fittings. Everything you need is provided with great attention to detail. There was a TV, free wi-fi, kettle, tea, coffee & biscuits etc in the room. We had a large comfortable private bathroom next door to the bedroom. The property has off-street parking and is up a side street close to the centre of Callander. Mac cooks a superb breakfast served with panache by Ania. An outstanding B&B and highly recommended.

We, family of 5, stayed at Annfield for 3 nights in the summer of 2012. We had 16 days in Scotland and Annfield was by far the best B&B on our family trip. The rooms where nice, good beds and big fluffy towels. The food was great and the hospitality of the owners out of this world. Annfield is centrally located in Callander, just off the main street, but still a quiet area and nice outdoors.
We hope to return some day!

Room Tip: We had rooms towards the garden and towards the street, but both were quiet.

This is such a charming B&B - an old converted Victorian mansion with tons of flowers blooming all around - is on a quiet street, yet still only two minutes from the main street of Callander. Ania and Mac are wonderful hosts, both incredibly friendly and personable, as well as very helpful in planning our itinerary. The rooms had over-sized, luxurious towels and fantastically soft bedding. Breakfast was huge and scrumptious. We could have smoked salmon and eggs, porridge, or a more traditional Scottish breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, grilled tomatoes, and fried mushrooms. There was also cold cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Callander is a great place from which to visit The Trossachs. It's quaint, and with a number of nice shops and restaurants. We loved the Meadows Restaurant, Mohr Fish, and the Lade Inn, all of which were recommended by Ania and Mac. One afternoon Ania served us tea and delicious cakes in the backyard - such a nice way to relax after a day's sight-seeing. We only stay at B&Bs when we travel, and Annfield House is truly one of the better ones we've ever encountered.

I stayed at Annfield Guest House with my wife two weeks ago. This a victorian house near the centre of Callander in a quiet location with beatuful gardens. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly hosts, Mac and Ania, who made us welcome throughout our short stay. Everything was spotless including our very tastefully furnihed and decorated bedroom. Our breakfast was excellent and in fact our whole stay could not be faulted. We will definitely be returning to the Annfield on returning to Callander and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
