“They sent us across the street !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

We popped into this place when doing some shopping Callander.
We were four adults and two children ( 2 and 9 months).
They did appear quite busy but there were a few tables available, two double tables in a corner sited together with s highchair would have suited us fine, the waitress however had other ideas! She said the high chair would be an obstruction...in a corner ??
Anyway she suggested we go across the street which we did and spent our money there.
Their loss.

“Chocolate cake to die for!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

The Old Bank is the first place we take friends and family when they come to visit Callander. The cakes are freshly made, the slices generous, and the taste divine...

We used to order one slice between two, but the cake is just too good to share!

It's a lovely, friendly wee restaurant, and a table close to the open lit fire is the ideal place to spend a chilly Sunday afternoon with the people (and the cake) you love.

“Another gem in Callander”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We stumbled across this little Restaurant on our way to a hotel in the area. Although initally we stopped just for a short break in our journey we were tempted to lunch and I am so glad we did. The aroma within the place will certainly tempt your taste buds. Plenty on offer on menu and on Daily specials board. We were lucky to get a seat so be careful to go along early enough or be prepared to wait.

“Well worth stopping by”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

We called in at Callander on a Saturday afternoon (to be fair it was a snowy Saturday afternoon in January) just looking for a coffee. Tried two coffee shops on the main street, Taste of the Trossachs and Mhor, both just closed (4pm) so we went in to the Old Bank expecting the same thing. We were met by very friendly staff and the restaurant had log fire burning, full menu available with good choice including gluten free items.
Although we only had coffee and scones (good coffee) we were very impressed, particularly by the friendly and helpful staff. I would certainly go back for a full meal if we were in the area.

“A wonderful place to stop on a cold day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We stopped in here to warm up whilst out in Callander. We were greeted with a lovely, friendly welcome, a warm fire and nice, clean decor. There was a range of treats on offer and a large gluten free menu, although we didn't try anything on it. We loved it so much, we went back the next day. Try the homemade scones and the hot chocolate. Just what we needed to escape the cold and get us going again.
