This restaurant has perennial charm. It is lovely in summer with its ideal position by the river, Quay at Christchurch and is cosy in winter with a roaring 'poele' type fire.
The atmosphere is young and buzzy and it serves as a bar as well as a bistro in the evenings. In the day there are coffees teas, snacks. The olives are first class!
It does let itself down on service, due I think, to a high turn over of relatively young staff but they are always charming!
Usually a few 'specials' on offer as well as the standard menu. Fish, steak, pizzas, pasta burgers. All well prepared and presented.
In the evening there are tables (for casual passers by who have not booked) in a covered terrace area. Heaters are on and blankets available! Makes for an interesting dining experience!
